Bowmore 12 is a diverse Islay single malt that showcases a range of flavors from light smoke and honey to citrus, oak, charred pineapple sweetness, and medicinal notes. The whisky offers a complex yet approachable profile with influences from various cask types. While some expressions may lack in value due to lower ABV, the overall experience is enjoyable and recommended for those exploring the world of Islay whiskies.

It's a little bit citrusy and that honey really comes back, smoky and a touch briny. I actually quite liked it. I can understand why some people wouldn't appreciate the kind of coarse, peaty tones.

I get sweet rather than peat but there's the peat. The sweetness I get, and I get a lot of this in peated whiskeys, peated Scotch, I get charred pineapple. That's how the sweetness comes across on my palate. After the charred pineapple, I do get hit with slight medicinal notes and then that campfire smoke comes in. $62.99, this would be a hard sell for me to buy another bottle when it's gone.

Pleasant oakiness shining through sherry spoke complex yes the oaken is becoming stronger though extremes it's well balanced its concerted really concerted pleasant and the balance between smokiness between there's ciliary character with this orange dark oranges this lime and well then coming up the spiciness of the wood along aftertaste and well Pleasant there's no burning and no bitterness and no extreme smokiness it's well balanced from the nose to the aftertaste

It's smoke but no aggression, just a nice little, you know, it's gosh. So you're not gonna get a full-on Tinder embrace, yeah, but a really nice side hug. There's so many good things to say about the Bowmore 12, it's just so friendly, right?
SG Alcohol Guy
It has a very beautiful sweet taste that is complemented by the smokiness. The Bowmore Islay single malt scotch whiskey aged 12 years is worth getting.

Bowmore 12 year old. Whisky review #018
I think it's a solid core expression that largely goes underappreciated.

Whisky Review/Tasting: Bowmore 12 years
I like it very very much so if you want to convince somebody of alarm odds so don't start with the extreme start with the extreme ones this hefty payday stinky ones just start with a bomb or twelve years old it will give the the know ease an interesting starting point for smokey whiskies and not overwhelming them with extreme heat and sharpness in whatever there is in those stinky whiskies I like them so Palmer gives all there is in a whiskey smoke expert gas extra casks the silly character and so on well balanced concert it

Bowmore 12 years | Whisky Review
It's a pleasant, gentle, smoky whisky with a chocolate theme, warm with a sherry touch and bonfire note.
